In the June 22 COVID-19 update from The Saskatchewan Health Authority they are reporting 36 new cases of the virus in the province.

Of those 36 new cases there are 3 in the Far North East zone, 2 in the North West zone, 2 in the North Central zone, 9 in the Saskatoon zone, 11 in the Regina zone, 1 in the South Central zone, and 6 in the South East zone.

There are no new cases reported in the South West zone.

There are 2 new cases with pending residence information.

There are 21 deemed out of the province residents and removed  from the following zones - 1 from the Far North East zone, 2 from the North West zone, 1 from the North Central zone, 4 from the Saskatoon zone, 3 from the Regina zone, and 1 from the South Central zone.

There were 2 removed from the South West zone.

Seven have pending residence information.

Two previously reported cases with pending residence information have been assigned to the North West and Regina zones.

That brings the provincial total number of cases to 48,505, of which 639 are considered active.

There are 11 active cases in the South West zone - 1 in the South West subzone 1, and 10 in the South West subzone 2.

There are 87 recoveries reported, bringing that provincial total to 47,301.

No new deaths were reported, leaving the provincial total number of deaths at 565.

The seven-day average of new COVID-19 cases is 67 (5.4 per cases per 100,000 population).

There are 79 people in the hospital. Sixty-seven of those are receiving inpatient care - 1 in the Far North West zone, 7 in the North West zone, 8 in the North Central zone, 31 in the Saskatoon zone, 3 in the Central East zone, 14 in the Regina zone, and 3 in the South Central zone.

There are 12 people in intensive care - 3 in the North Central zone, 4 in the Saskatoon zone, and 5 in the Regina zone.

To date, 904,060 COVID-19 tests have been processed in Saskatchewan.

And yesterday there were 1,270 COVID-19 tests processed.

As of June 21, there are a total of 11,998 variants of concern cases identified by screening in the province - 297 in the Far North West zone, 1 in the Far North Central zone, 83 in the Far North East zone, 780 in the North West zone, 618 in the North Central zone, 79 in the North East zone, 2,084 in the Saskatoon zone, 145 in the Central West zone, 641 in the Central East zone, 4,775 in the Regina zone, 887 in the South Central zone, and 1,130 in the South East zone.

There are a total of 399 in the South West zone.

There are 79 screened variants of concern cases with residence pending.

There are 89 new lineages reported.

Of the 6,903 variants of concern cases with lineages identified by whole genome sequencing in the province, 6,475 are Alpha (B.1.1.7), 293 are Gamma (P.1), 125 are Delta (B.1.617.2), and 10 are Beta (B.1.351).

An additional 6,496 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been given in Saskatchewan, bringing the total number of vaccines administered to 1,005,275.

Of those 6,496 vaccine doses given, there were 226 administered in the South West zone.

Eighty percent of those residents over the age of 40, 75% of those over 30, 70% of those over 18, and 69% of those over 12 have received their first vaccine dose.
