In the October 26 COVID-19 update from The Saskatchewan Health Authority they are reporting a total of 126 new confirmed cases of the virus in the province.

Of those 126 new cases there are 5 in the Far North West zone, 8 in the Far North East zone, 6 in the North West zone, 8 in the North Central zone, 1 in the North East zone, 35 in the Saskatoon zone, 2 in the Central West zone, 14 in the Central East zone, 29 in the Regina zone, 3 in the South Central zone, and  6 in the South East zone.

There is 1 new confirmed case in the South West zone. That 1 case is in the South West subzone 1.

There are 8 new cases with pending residence information. 

Twenty-three cases with pending residence information have been assigned as follows - 7 to the Far North East zone, 2 to the North West zone, 2 to the North Central zone, 1 to the North East zone, 1 to the Saskatoon zone, 2 to the Central East zone, 7 to the Regina zone, and 1 to the South Central zone.

Less than one-third (31.0%) of new cases are in the 11 and under age category.

Over one-fourth (26.4%) of new cases eligible for vaccination (aged 12 and older) were fully vaccinated.

The seven-day average of new COVID-19 cases is 238 (19.8 new cases per 100,000 population).

That brings the provincial total number of cases to 76,607, of which 2,538 are considered active.

There are 60 active cases in the South West zone - 31 in the South West subzone 1, and 29 in the South West subzone 2.

There are 10 new deaths reported, bringing the provincial total number of deaths to 827.

There are 400 recoveries reported, 7 of those in the South West zone, bringing the provincial total number of recoveries to 73,242.

There are 286 people in the hospital - 217 receiving inpatient care, and 69 in intensive care.

Of those 286 patients, 207 (72.4%) were not fully vaccinated.

There were 3 additional cases transferred to Ontario, for a total of 12 Saskatchewan cases that have been transferred out of the province.

To date, there have been 1,214,244 COVID-19 tests processed in Saskatchewan.

And yesterday, there were 1,496 COVID-19 tests processed in the province.

Of the 13,671 variants of concern cases identified by whole genome sequencing in Saskatchewan, 7,123 are Alpha (B.1.1.7), 10 are Beta (B.1.351), 484 are Gamma (P.1), and 6,054 are Delta (B.1.617.2).

There were 1,007 COVID-19 vaccines administered yesterday in the province - 59 of those in the South West zone.

That brings the provincial total number of vaccinations given to 1,649,640.

There are now 783,344 Saskatchewan residents who are fully vaccinated.
