For the second year the Shaunavon Co Op and the Southland Co Op in Assiniboia ran a challenge to see which Co Op could collect the most food for their local Food Bank.

And this year, the Shaunavon Co Op has come out victorious with a total of 3,183 pounds of food collected while the Southland Co Op collected a total of 2,543 pounds.

The General Manager of the Southland Co Op, Ken Bahuaud will now have to wear the Saskatchewan Roughrider jersey for a day.

Kevin Braun, General Manager of the Shaunavon Co Op, says, "We do want to thank the people of Shaunavon and area for their tremendous support. Both locations are winners for the Food Bank and stocking their shelves. So, we're very glad to involve that support in the Shaunavon area."

The Challenge ran from August 29th until September 16th as part of an initiative spearheaded by the Cooperative Retailing System.
