In the September 15 COVID-19 update from The Saskatchewan Health Authority they are reporting a total of 475 new cases of the virus in the province.

Of those 475 new confirmed cases there are 19 in the Far North West zone, 4 in the Far North Central zone, 47 in the Far North East zone, 61 in the North West zone, 23 in the North East zone, 118 in the Saskatoon zone, 8 in the Central West zone, 25 in the Central East zone, 36 in the Regina zone, 10 in the South Central zone, and 25 in the South East zone.

There are 17 new confirmed cases in the South West zone - 5 in the South West subzone 1, and 12 in the South West subzone 2.

There are 41 new cases with pending residence information.

Forty-two case with pending residence information have been reassigned as follows - 1 to the Far North West zone, 11 to the Far North East zone, 6 to the North Central zone,16 to the  North West zone, 6 to the Saskatoon zone, 1 to the Central East zone, and 1 to the Regina zone.

Two Saskatchewan residents tested out of the province have been added to the case counts in the Regina zone (1) and in the South East zone (1).

One repeat case with pending residence information was removed from case counts on September 13, 2021.

That brings the provincial total number of cases to 60,149, of which 4,016 are considered active.

There are 97 active cases in t he South West zone - 46 in the South West subzone 1, and 51 in the South West subzone 2.

Over one-third (34.9%) of new cases are in the 19 years and under age category.

The seven-day average of new COVID-19 case numbers is 416 (34.6 new cases per 100,000 population).

There were 2 new deaths reported, bringing that provincial total to 629.

There were 387 recoveries reported, bringing that provincial total to 55,504.

There are 224 people in the hospital -  184 patients receiving inpatient care, and 40 in intensive care.

Of the 224 patients, 169 (75.4%) were not fully vaccinated.

To date, there has been 1,074,354 COVID-19 tests processed in Saskatchewan.

And yesterday there were 4,010 COVID-19 tests processed.

Of the 10,825 variants of concern cases identified by whole genome sequencing, 7,123 are Alpha (B.1.1.7), 10 are Beta (B.1.351), 482 are Gamma (P.1), and 3,210 are Delta (B.1.617.2).

There were 2,046 COVID-19 vaccines administered, 70 of them in the South West zone. That brings the total number of vaccines given to 1,5055,431.

There are 711,016 residents of the province considered fully vaccinated.
