In the October 27 COVID-19 update from The Saskatchewan Health Authority, they are reporting a total of 58 new cases of the virus in the province.

Public Health investigations are underway to determine the source of transmission for all new cases.

Of the 58 new cases today, there is 1 in the Far North West zone, 1 in the Far North East zone, 8 in the North West zone, 6 in the North Central zone, 2 in the North East zone, 29 in the Saskatoon zone, 3 in the Central West zone, 5 in the Regina zone, and 2 in the South East zone. One case has a pending location.

That brings the provincial total number of cases to 2,841, of which 652 are considered active.

In the South West zone there is 1 active case reported.

There were 56 more recoveries today, bringing that provincial total to 2,164.

There are 24 people in hospital. Eighteen people are receiving inpatient care - 7 in the North zone, 9 in the Saskatoon zone, and 2 in the Regina zone.

There are currently 6 people in intensive care - 1 in the North Central zone, 4 in Saskatoon, and 1 in Regina.

There have been 25 deaths related to COVID-19 reported thus far in the province.

To date, 253,675 COVID-19 tests have been performed in Saskatchewan.

And yesterday there were 3,434 COVID-19 tests done.
