The Swift Current City RCMP are now confirming they're investigating the theft of Canadian Tire money from Smitty's gas bar in late February.

RCMP say the incident occurred around 8 p.m. on February 26 when two male suspects entered the business.

One of the suspects then distracted the cashier while the other entered into an office and stole an undisclosed amount of Canadian Tire money.

According to the RCMP the suspect who acted as a lookout during the theft is Caucasian, white hair, roughly six feet tall, late 50's to early 60's, medium build, and wearing a dark hat and a black coat.

The second male was described as Caucasian, white hair, approximately 5'10-6' tall, heavy build, and wearing a dark cap and dark-coloured jacket.

Similar incidents have popped up in Saskatchewan and Alberta with similar looking men, including Outlook, Rosthern, Hague, and Redcliff, Alta.
