A number of thefts around Shaunavon have local RCMP asking for the public's assistance.

Sometime during the early part of the week of October 17th, approximately 500 litres of diesel was stolen from a gravel truck parked in Shaunavon on 5th Ave E, and sometime between Tuesday October 25th at 6:00pm and Wednesday October 26th at 10:00am, two hitch receivers were stolen from two pickup trucks at the same residence. These items can be easily sold for a small amount of money so the public is asked to report any sales of these items to RCMP and it will be determined if the sale and purchase are legitimate.

Also, a bicycle was stolen from a business on Centre Street in Shaunavon on October 27th between 4:30pm and 6:30pm.

Swift Current Rural RCMP are also reporting some thefts in the area. Between October 8th and 10th a 2005 grey utility flat deck trailer was stolen from Queens Avenue in Gull Lake, and sometime between October 7th and 11th, about 400 litres of clear diesel was stolen from a storage tank south of Carmichael.

Anyone with information on these crimes is asked to contact RCMP or Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers.
