A three-vehicle collision in downtown Swift Current delayed motorists over the lunch hour early this afternoon.

At the intersection of 2nd Ave NE and Cheadle St. E, three vehicles sustained damage in an incident.

A white Nissan SUV, and greyish-green Ford sedan, were left entangled in the intersection, while a black Dodge minivan was left on the southside of the intersection after reportedly rolling over, landing back upright.

The severity of injuries sustained, as well as the cause of the incident is unkown at this point.

At this time traffic is re-routed in several sections of the downtown area. The 100 block of 2nd Ave NE along Great Plains College is blocked off to motorists, along with northside access on and off of the overpass. Cheadle St. E between 1st Ave NE and 2nd Ave NE remains blocked off at this time as well.
