Three people are in the running for town council in the community of Maple Creek.

Nominations closed on Wednesday October 10 at four p.m.

Maple Creek Town Administrator, Diane Moss, explains why there was a vacant seat on town council. "We have one seat..a councilors seat. When Mayor McKenzie was elected Mayor, that left her seat vacant."

The three people running for the vacant seat are: Jill Roy, Shelley Drever, and Tina Cresswell.

No date has been set yet for Advance Polls, however the election date has been announced for November 14.
