Deadly tornadoes have causing much destruction this week in parts of the United States.

Greg Johnson is from Regina and he is busy with his team following extreme weather.

"We follow the jet stream. Where ever that goes that is where the severe weather is going to happen. For us following that jet stream is important,” said Johnson. “It doesn't make it up into the Canadian Prairies till mid- June. By about mid-June we will be up into the broader region and as July wears on we move a little farther North."

He also mentions how the season got off to a slow start.

“This season is by far the lowest recorded Tornado total at this point in the year that we have ever seen. Normally by this time in the year we have expected to see maybe about 500 to 600 or 700 hundred tornado's across the centennial United States, so far this year there have been less than 100," said Johnson.
