A presentation from Cypress Hills Eco Adventures was one of the final events of the two-day 49x110 conference.

Tourism Swift Current held their 2nd annual 49x110 Spring Conference and Annual General Meeting at the Sky Centre this week.

The two-day event featured a wide variety of presentations and speakers from representatives of the tourism industry in the city and the southwest.

"A huge thing going on is the development of the Maple Creek and Cypress Hills region," said Tourism Swift Current Chairman Wade Jensen. "There was a lot of presentations regarding that information, and it's amazing to see what they've done with the community and the surrounding area. It's very promising and positive."

Some of the presentations on the development of that region came from the Town of Maple Creek and Cypress Hills Eco Adventures.

The meeting was held as Tourism Saskatchewan gets set to be restructured as a provincial Crown corporation, but Jensen says the move should not have too much effect on Tourism Swift Current, as they are well-supported by the City of Swift Current.
