From Safeway all the way to Dollarama, the Swift Current Mall saw vendors lined up, all to raise money for the Swift Current Judo Club.

A total of 44 local and out of town vendors participated in the Fall into Winter tradeshow, which raised about $1,500.

Trish Hallum, the coordinator for the tradeshow, said that the event was nothing short of amazing.

"From 9:30 a.m. right straight trough, we were packed in the mall. We were so busy that we were going to shut the tradeshow originally at 4:00 p.m., and we kept it open to a quarter to five," she said. "The support from Swift Current itself and the amount of people that came in and shopped. I couldn't believe the turnout that came to the mall. I just can't say enough of how wonderful the turnout has been for supporting the kids with these groups."

Hallum said that the $1,500 would help the kids the club be able to attend events.

"It's going to help pay for the kids that go to all the tournaments that are around the southwest," she said. "This helps out a lot and helps them not have to do a lot of extra fundraising. It makes a big difference for what the kids are able to go and attend. It keeps the club afloat with having to not worry about excess fees."

Money was raised through a raffle, a bake sale, and the overall attendance fees from the vendors.

Hallum added that over 1,000 came to the mall to check out the tradeshow.
