Graham Fritz, a Shaunavon born and raised fellow, made his national TV debut last night on the season premier of the show Dragon's Den.

Dragon's Den is a program where entrepreneurs pitch their ideas to six investors, who then decide on the spot if they want to invest in the idea.

Fritz and the three chemists who invented the idea of a chemical solution that strips gold pitched their idea last evening to "the Dragons."

The technology they pitched was developed at the University of Saskatchewan, and ExcirWorks, who Fritz works for, licensed it along with the inventors who are all shareholders.

They hope to apply the idea to electronic waste.

The group asked for one million dollars at ten per cent, however the offer came back from all six "Dragon" investors for one million dollars at 18%, which Fritz and the rest of the team accepted.

Fritz told the newsroom in an earlier interview that, if their idea was chosen, it would be a huge advantage to the technology.
