After we saw record breaking temperatures last week, that trend looks like it may be continuing today.

With Environment Canada calling for a high of 10 degrees today, that would just put us over Swift Current's previous record high of 9.4 degrees set in 1953. We saw new records set last on January 4th and 5th as the mercury rose to break the previous markers of 8.5 degrees and 6.9 degrees set in 1984 and 2001.

But after temperatures sat well above normal the last several weeks, it appears we could see the return of cooler, more seasonable temperatures this week as well. The five-day forecast is calling for a chance of snow on Tuesday and a high of around -14 on Wednesday.
