The community of Climax, and surrounding area, have generously supported upgrades to the Climax Border Health Center.

At the start of 2018 a local fundraising committee and the Dr. Noble Irwin Regional Healthcare Foundation began working together to raise funds to replace the tub at the Health Center.

Clay Thompson, the Executive Director of The Dr. Noble Irwin Regional Healthcare Foundation says, "The tub that they had in there was to the age that it was no longer gonna be able to be serviced. The company that put it in there originally, some 25 years ago is the best we can figure, was no longer supplying parts. So, it was still working fine, but if it ever broke down then it wouldn't have been serviced, and that service could have been lost."

Thompson says that they set a goal of $50,000 for the project, and ended up raising just over $85,000.

The new tub is now installed, and the extra money was used to offer Telehealth services to the area, which allows patients to connect with specialists through video conferencing.

Thompson says that they would like to thank the community and area, as well as the volunteers for their efforts.
