The Canadian Mental Health Association Swift Current Branch held their annual Jimmy Richardson Walk for Wellness on Saturday.

Executive Director Ruth Smith says the numbers were down from last year, with around $5000 raised to date, but they're still happy with the money raised.  She adds, the cool, cloudy weather probably had an impact on the number of walkers and dollar totals this year.

Smith adds, although they fell short of their goal, they always look at it as money they didn't have before the walk.  She says the walk wouldn't have been possible without all of the participants, and the help of the volunteers.
