More details have been made public about the weapon brought to a school in the Chinook School Division.

A 13 year old brought a pistol to a local school on Saturday and now he is facing a number of charges.

No one was injured and parents at the school were sent a letter from the Chinook School Division informing them of the incident.

The youth was in Swift Current Provincial Court on Tuesday and was remanded until he appears again tomorrow at 9:30 a.m.

The 13 year old has been charged with two counts of pointing a firearm, unlawful possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm for a dangerous purpose, one count of theft under $5,000, and two counts of carrying a firearm in careless manner.
