March 29 & 30 will see the return to Swift Current of the "Last Man Back" 4-on-4 Hockey Tournament in support of STARS Air Ambulance, a tournament established after the Humboldt Broncos' bus crash in April 2018.

Ryan Gobeil, Sales and Events Manager for the Swift Current Broncos, started the event in honour of his younger brother, Morgan, a member of the Humboldt Broncos who was injured in the collision and is currently recovering in hospital. The inaugural "Hockey for Humboldt" tournament held in May saw over 100 players take part and raised over $50,000 for the Humbold Strong Community Foundation which supported organizations like STARS, Ronald McDonald House Charities and Saskatoon's Royal University Hospital Foundation.

Ryan joined Colin on the Magic Morning Show to talk about this year's tournament and a special comedy night being held to wrap it up.

You can get more information about the tournament and get your tickets for the comedy show on March 30 by emailing [email protected] or call Ryan at 306-741-8298. is Swift Current's only source for community news and information such as weather and classifieds.
