The Swift Current SPCA's "$18 for '18" campaign continues with a delicious fundraiser... Monday, February 26, is National Cupcake Day, where you can bake some cupcakes and sell them to raise money for animal shelters and humane societies across the country.

The event is seeing a lot of support in the community with sales set to happen at a number of local businesses and organizations, including:

  • Altus Geomatics
  • Bre's Boutique
  • Canadian Mental Health Association Swift Current Branch
  • Swift Current City Hall
  • New Family Chiropractic Clinic
  • PetValu (selling cupcakes for people and pets)
  • RBC
  • Rexall Pharmacy
  • SPCA Bookstore
  • Standard Motors
  • WW Smith Insurance
  • Grand Coteau Heritage and Cultural Centre in Shaunavon (Feb 27 from 10-2)

Teresa Cole joined Colin on the Redhead Equipment Magic Morning Show to talk about the fundraiser and test Colin's knowledge of cupcakes!

There is still time to organize a sale for National Cupcake Day, and you can call Teresa at 306-773-1292.

If you can't wait until Monday to get your cupcakes for the SPCA, there will be a National Cupcake Day pre-sale at the Swift Current Mall centre court on Saturday from 12:00 noon to 5:00pm, where you can buy some delicious cupcakes and support the shelter!
