A lot of people were probably shocked at what they saw on their thermometer or SwiftCurrentLive app this morning...

The cold weather is expected to stick around for most of this week, so we hope you have all of your warm winter clothes ready to go. If you have some extra warm clothes, there are a few places you can give that clothing to help those who may need it this winter.

Kathy talked with Major Don Grad with the Swift Current Salvation Army.

Kathy also talked with Icasiana de Gala of the Southwest Newcomer Welcome Centre, who is also accepting donations of toques and mitts for those in our community who may be experiencing a Canadian winter for the first time.

As work continues to get Dorie's House back open in time for winter, Charmaine Westbury with Southwest YES says the public can donate winter clothing for use at the shelter.

Colin also talked with Laura Beddome with Southwest Crisis Services, who said they are also accepting new clothing donations for their clients at the Safe Shelter.

If you want to find out when it's finally going to warm up again, you can check the five-day forecast anytime on Swift Current Online.
