I saw comedian Pete Zedlacher at the Sky Centre on Monday night for the Investors Group comedy night in support of the Salvation Army Food Bank, and he put on a great show. He joked that as he arrived in Swift Current, he determined that the "hippest place in town" was the Cypress Health Region's Flu Clinic at the Swift Current Mall.
I would have to agree with him, as I got my flu shot in the afternoon (after I voted ), and it was still quite busy, and there were long lineups as it opened in the morning. If you missed out on Monday's opening flu clinic, there are still nine more scheduled for Swift Current and many more in the rural communities, including ones today in Shaunavon and Leader. Anyone can attend any flu clinic in the health region to receive their free flu vaccine, provided they bring their Saskatchewan health card.
I talked with Bryce Martin with Cypress Health about their flu clinics on Monday.
