Hi everyone! I guess you could call this my “Introduction to Swift Current” blog. My name is Tracey and because this is my first blog for Magic 97, I'd like make sure to do it right! Look, I've even added a couple of photos of myself! Now when you see me around town, you can go, “Hey, look that's the new girl from Magic 97!” Hopefully you'll recognize me though because I probably won't be wearing the headphones...BUT there IS a VERY good possibility that I'll be wearing the toque!
I am so happy to be a part of the Magic 97 team!! WOOP! WOOP! I'll give you a little run down of “Me”. I grew up around here and went to High School at the Comp. Then I moved away to go to Art school. I stayed in Medicine Hat for a few years...but with life's twists and turns, I made the decision to move back to Swift Current! I'm happy to be closer to family. Yay Family!
I have to say, I'm enjoying the happy, friendly faces in Swift Current! What I've really noticed is just how friendly and helpful people are! Okay, here's an example of how helpful people are here in Swift Current...I was walking out of a store and my “To Do” list flew out of my hands. I could have let it go but I had stuff on there! At any rate, I decided to chase my little piece of paper across the street. Of course the paper didn't stop and kept flying around as soon as I got close to it. I'm sure you've all had this happen. Anyway, this very nice man driving down the street must of saw me running after it and took time to actually pull over, jump out of his truck and grab the piece of paper for me! I quickly got in a “Thank You so much” before he jumped back in his truck and drove off. So nice! Right?! Anyway, it's those friendly gestures from total strangers that makes it great to be back home!
So if you see me around, on the street or chasing after a piece of paper, make sure to say Hi! (maybe even help me chase down my paper?) See ya around people...and keep up the Random Acts of Kindness Swift Current!
