The Swift Current United Way is holding their annual campaign kickoff breakfast at Living Sky Casino on May 16, and this year's theme is "Rise Up and Speak Out About Addiction."

Mikaela Mamer will be the guest speaker, and she will share her personal story about overcoming addiction, and the event will also be a launch for the community's Naloxone Training Program with information about take-home Naloxone kits.

Colin talked with Stacey Schwartz, the Executive Director of the Swift Current United Way, and Amanda Maxner, a registered nurse with the Saskatchewan Health Authority's Mental Health & Addictions Department in Swift Current.
