This weekend will be another a busy one in southwest Saskatchewan, and one of the most important events will be the Canadian Cancer Society's Relay for Life, which is set to begin Saturday night at 7:00pm from Riverside Park.
This will be the 14th year for Relay for Life in the city, where people young and old walk all night to celebrate cancer survivors and honour those who lost their battle to the disease. The money raised from pledges collected for the relay will go toward funding critical research and helping those living with cancer.
The relay will start at 7:00pm Saturday with the survivor lap, and the luminary ceremony will start at dusk. Luminaries are being sold for $5.00 each and will be available at the relay site starting at 5:00pm on Saturday, or you can purchase one today at MNP (1st Ave NE at Cheadle St) between noon and 4:00pm today.
It should be an incredible night of fundraising, remembering and celebration at the Relay for Life, which goes Saturday night at 7:00pm from Riverside Park.
