Tomorrow when the Swift Current Broncos host the Brandon Wheat Kings at the Innovation Credit Union iPlex fans are asked to bring teddy bears, toques, mits, or anything that help families out during the winter for their annual Teddy Bear Toss.
The annual event helps out the Salvation Army, and last year over 1,000 teddy bears were thrown onto the ice with close to 400 toques, and mits being thrown on the ice as well after Tyler Steenbergen scored his 35th goal of the season.
Brad Trojan from the Swift Current Broncos stopped and chatted with Tanner about the teddy bear toss and about upcoming events and games for the Broncos.
The Broncos and the Wheat Kings kick things off tomorrow with puck-drop slated from 7:00 pm. If you can't make it to the game, you can still listen to it by tuning into the Eagle 94.1 for Roberton Family Group Swift Current Broncos hockey with the pre-game starting at 6:30 pm.
Looking forward to the future for the Broncos on December 4th when they host the Prince Albert Raiders they are going to have SaskTel sponsoring the game and SaskTel is going to be giving away a free phone to one lucky fan. December 12th against the Regina Pats it's going to be unused ticket night. Any fans with remaining tickets can go to the game for just $5. All you have to do is bring your unused ticket and exchange it. On December 14th it's Saskatchewan Lung Association night where the Broncos are going to be honouring the players that have become Lung All-Stars in a pre-game ceremony.
Looking further ahead in February, Swift Current is going to be hosting Hockey Day in Canada. The Broncos are going to be hosting the Alumni Classic on February 8th at 7:30 pm. NHL and Bronco Alumni are going to take to the ice. Former NHLers like Lanny McDonald and Darcy Tucker and former Broncos like Travis Moen and Trent McCleary and many more are set to lace up the skates. Season ticket holders have until December 10th to get their tickets and after that tickets are avalible to everyone.
