June is always a busy month in Swift Current with a lot of big events, and this past weekend had a lot of stuff in the city.
Saturday saw the first-ever Perfect Bo$$ Southwest Run for Shelter, with a 5km and 10km run and a half and full marathon to support the new Southwest Youth Emergency Shelter being built in Swift Current.
The fifth season of Swift Current's Market Square also kicked off on Saturday, with another full day of fun, food and entertainment. They kicked off with over 30 vendors, more than they ever saw last year. Market Square will continue every Saturday from 10:00am to 3:00pm on the corner of Central and Chaplin.
Then on Sunday, West Bank Bible Camp held their open house where everyone got to try out canoeing, archery and their zipline.
You can see more photos of all the fun things we checked out this weekend on our Facebook page.
The fun will continue through the rest of June with the Long Day's Night Music Festival and Windscape coming up this weekend, the annual Golden West Hot Dog Day on Friday, and Frontier Days at the end of the month. Don't forget, you have a chance to win some great Frontier Days prizes with "Bring Your Bestie to Frontier Days", as well as "Fair Fact or Fiction" every morning on Magic 97!
