The 15U Girls Junior Sundogs Black volleyball team earned a prominent placing in Regina over the weekend at Sask Cup #3.

The 15U Girls Black went 4-3 over the weekend, to earn a second-place finish out of 40 teams.

The Junior Sundogs went 2-2 over Day 1 of play on Saturday:

Win over QCVC Royal Purple (25-18, 18-25, 15-2)
Loss to Battleford Heat (25-19, 22-25, 11-15)
Loss to Southeast Vipers (25-20, 21-25, 14-16)
Win over WCVC U14 (25-27, 25-18, 15-13)

That kept them up in the top division, where the U15 Girls Black made a strong push in playoffs.

The Junior Sundogs topped the Weyburn Cobras in three sets (15-25, 25-21, 15-10) in the quarter-finals, along with a straight-set win (26-24, 25-23) over the Saskatoon Smash in the semis.

Into the final, it was a three-set battle, with the Sundogs losing to the Southeast Vipers (20-25, 25-23, 9-15).

15U Girls Provincials run April 26-28 in Saskatoon/Warman.
