On December 21 there will be a rare planetary alignment, that happens only once in 20 years.

Jupiter and Saturn will align in the night sky to form a radiant point of light.

Jordon Daigle is t he President of the club at The Wilkinson Memorial Observatory near Eastend. He says, if conditions are clear on that night, we will see this sight in the night sky here in the southwest.

"It will be just after sunset in south western sky, just a little bit above the horizon, you should be seeing them there. And they'll look like two very bright stars. They won't shimmer. And it will look like one, kind of, bright star that kind of looks like it's a little elongated."

The last time these two planets aligned more closely was 8 centuries back, in 1226.
