Last year's Boomtown Days' parade

 

Shaunavon's annual Boomtown Days celebrations kick off this Friday.

 

A big part of Boomtown Days is the two parades that will be taking place.

 

The Kiddies Parade goes Saturday morning starting at 10:30am. Children are asked to line up at 10:15am in the parking lot at Center Street United Church.

 

The main Boomtown Days parade follows the Kiddies Parade at 11:00am. Lisa Schimdt from the organizing committee says you still have time to enter a float. You can go to www.shaunavon.com for your entry.

 

The parade theme is "Let's Play".

 

Traffic is asked to please avoid driving on Centre Street and 1st Avenue between 10:15 and 11:30 that morning.


Boomtown Days also features great rodeo action, the Kinettes' pancake breakfast, a cabaret and lots of activities downtown, as well as the ever popular Sunday in the Park.
