In today's update from the Saskatchewan Health Authority, they are reporting a total of 1,069 new confirmed cases of COVID-19, bringing the total to 92,940 reported cases. 

Of the new cases, 8 were located in the Far North West, 2 in the Far North East zone, 12 in the North West zone, 49 in the North Central zone, 15 in the North East zone, 268 in the Saskatoon zone, 9 in the Central West zone, 73 in the Central East zone, 343 in the Regina zone, 62 in the South Central zone, and 92 in the South East zone. 

There were 32 new cases in the South West zone, 10 in South West subzone 1 and 22 in South West subzone 2. 

There are 104 new cases with pending resident's information. 

Ten (10) new cases were assigned; 7 to the North West zone, and 3 to the North Central zone. 

There were 11 Saskatchewan residents that tested positive out-of-province were added to the case counts; 3 were added to the North West zone, 4 to the Saskatoon zone, 1 to the Central East zone, and 3 to the Regina zone. 

There are 7,750 cases are considered active and 84,229 cases are considered recovered. 

Nearly one-half (44.6%) of new cases are in the age category of 20 to 39. 

As of today, a total of 119 individuals are hospitalized, including 108 inpatient hospitalizations and 11 ICU hospitalizations. Of the 119 patients, 53 (44.5%) were not fully vaccinated. 

The SHA dashboard reports that of the 108 residents that are inpatient. Of those, 59 inpatient hospitalizations are a COVID-19-related illness, 36 are incidental, asymptomatic infections and 13 have not yet been determined. 10 residents are in ICUs: of those, eight (8) are for COVID-19-related illnesses, two (2) are incidental, asymptomatic infections. 

No (0) new death reported today. 961 Saskatchewan residents with COVID-19 have died, with a case fatality rate of 1.1%. 

To date, 1,359,982 COVID-19 tests have been performed in the province. 

There were 2 089 COVID-19 vaccines administered, 37 of those in the South West zone. 

That brings the provincial total number of vaccinations given to 1 817 550. 

There are now 868 635 Saskatchewan residents who are fully vaccinated. 

The 7-day average of new COVID-19 case numbers was 871 (72.3 new cases per 100,000). 

Since January 1, the New Cases by Vaccination Status table has shown a significant number of new cases as unvaccinated. This data is not accurate. This table is no longer featured on the dashboard until a review of the information is complete and the data rectified.
