In today's update from the Saskatchewan Health Authority, they are reporting a total of 1,170 new confirmed cases of COVID-19, bringing the total to 89,821 reported cases. 

Of the new cases, 15 were located in the Far North West zone, 2 in the Far North Central zone, 8 in the Far North East zone, 39 in the North West zone, 41 in the North Central zone, 14 in the North East zone, 259 in the Saskatoon zone, 19 in the Central West zone, 106 in the in the Central East zone, 314 in the Regina zone, 49 in the South Central zone, and 131 in the South East zone. 

There were 48 new cases in the South West zone. Of those cases, 11 were located in South West subzone 1, and 37 were located in South West subzone 2. 

There are 125 new cases with pending resident's information. 

Nine (9) cases were assigned; 6 to the North West zone, 1 to the North Central zone, 1 to the Central East zone, and 1 to the Regina zone. 

There were 13 Saskatchewan residents that tested out of province were added to case counts. There were 9 assigned to the Saskatoon zone, 2 to the Regina zone, 1 to the South West zone, 1 to the South Central zone, and 1 with pending residents information. 

There are 6,254 cases are considered active and 82,606 cases are considered recovered. 

Almost one-half (46.1%) of new cases are in the age category of 20 to 39. 

A total of 105 individuals are hospitalized, including 94 inpatient hospitalizations and 11 ICU hospitalizations. Of the 105 patients, 54 (51.4%) were not fully vaccinated. 

The SHA dashboard includes 105 hospitalizations: of those, 49 in-patient hospitalizations are a COVID-19-related illness, 35 are incidental, asymptomatic infections and 10 have not yet been determined.  

Eleven (11) residents are in ICUs and one (1) of those is an incidental, asymptomatic infection. 

No (0) new death reported today. 961 Saskatchewan residents with COVID-19 have died, with a case fatality rate of 1.1%. 

To date, 1,348,973 COVID-19 tests have been performed in the province. 

There were 2 508 COVID-19 vaccines administered, 41 of those in the South West zone. 

That brings the provincial total number of vaccinations given to 1 810 459. 

There are now 864 101 Saskatchewan residents who are fully vaccinated. 

Since January 1, the New Cases by Vaccination Status table has shown a significant number of new cases as unvaccinated. This data is under review to ensure that the reports are accurate. 

The 7-day average of new COVID-19 case numbers was 659 (54.7 new cases per 100,000).
