Updated: Both clinics will be administering the AstraZeneca vaccine.

Swift Current residents will be getting a pair of first-come-first-serve COVID-19 vaccination clinics this weekend and into early next week.

Released via press release early Friday evening, the Saskatchewan Health Authority published details regarding both a walk-in clinic and a two-day drive-thru clinic event.

The walk-In vaccination clinic will begin Friday, April 2, 2021, and will run Friday, Monday and Tuesday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each day at #6-1061 Central Avenue North.

The drive-thru clinic will begin Saturday, April 3, 2021 and will run Saturday and Sunday between 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at 801 Cheadle Street West.

Access for the drive-thru is from the Cheadle Street West entrance.

The drive-thru site will be on a first-come, first-serve basis and in order to ensure a smooth operation, the Saskatchewan Health Authority is reminding residents to NOT attend either clinic unless they have been advised that they are in the eligible age category, which is ONLY those that are over the age of 55.

Residents who have already booked an appointment to get vaccinated can attend one of the above clinics, but must remember afterwards to cancel their existing appointment afterwards.

All public health orders remain in effect at the vaccination sites.
