This morning, Environment Canada Meteorologists are tracking a line of severe thunderstorms that are capable of producing strong wind gusts, up to nickel-sized hail and heavy rain.

The system is located from Tyner to Swift Current and is tracking north at 30 km/h.

The severe thunderstorm watch issued for the rest of the regions remains in effect.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued for the southwest.

Environment Canada reports that conditions are favorable for the development of dangerous thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts, damaging hail and heavy rain.

Ahead of a large impulse crossing over southern Alberta this afternoon, conditions in southern Saskatchewan, including the Swift Current and Shaunavon areas, are favorable for several discrete supercells to form.

Hazards associated with these storms will primarily be large hail and strong winds, but an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out.
