The community of Shaunavon will be celebrating their Boomtown Christmas this Saturday December 4th.

Garrett Thienes is the President of the Shaunavon Chamber of Commerce. He said, "We're gonna have some horse drawn carriage rides moving around the town during the day, and then at 6 p.m. we're gonna ask most people that want to come down. We're gonna light the tree beginning at 6:30, but right before that we're going to have a short, quick bingo. And then the Parade will follow its traditional route."

The Parade of Lights will leave from the Catholic Church Parking lot and move west on 6th Avenue to Center Street, then south to 1st avenue.

It should arrive downtown by about 7:30.

Following the Parade of Lights there will be a bonfire, hot chocolate and acoustic music up at the Crescent Point Wickenheiser Center, and then about 8:30 the day will wind up with a fireworks display.
