The midget AAA team clinched a post-season berth last night after 9th place Regina dropped a 3-2 decision in overtime last night to Yorkton.
The best Regina could do now is tie the Legionnaires in points, but Saskatchewan Midget AAA tiebreaking rules would give the Legionnaires the advantage.
Meanwhile, the Legionnaires will wrap up the regular season with a pair of home games against Saskatoon this weekend at the Credit Union i-Plex. Half the proceeds from the gate will go to the family of long time volunteer Earl Monkman, who passed away a few weeks back.
