The Swift Current Home Hardware U18 AAA Legionnaires were able to fend off a late push from the Notre Dame Hounds this evening to snap a four-game losing streak.

In a rematch from Sunday afternoon, Swift Current jumped on the second-place Hounds early in Wilcox scoring three goals in the first and second period before holding on for a 6-5 victory.

Legionnaires forward Carter Cormier had quite the performance in the win netting two goals and recording three assists for a game-high five points. Captain Matt Ripplinger wasn't far behind production-wise scoring once and registering three helpers.

While Theodore McGuire, Brendan Quinn-Lagria, and Hudson Darby all scored for Swift Current in the win.

Goalie Liam Ernst made 35 saves in goal picking up his second win on the season.

The Legionnaires moved to 14-14-4 on the season with the victory and will host the league-leading Warman Wildcats twice this upcoming weekend.
