The Swift Current Home Hardware U18 AAA Legionnaires will open up their regular season tonight on the road in Tisdale.

Coming off a 0-3 pre-season, Swift Current will look to start the season in the win column against the Trojans at the Tisdale Recplex.

"We've had a couple of exhibition games, we've been practicing the last couple of weeks and we're ready to go for tonight," Legionnaires Head Coach Chris Keleher said. "The season we all had last year and having it pause and end early because of COVID, it's been a long while since these guys have played an actual meaningful game so we're ready to go for tonight."

The Trojans were the other Saskatchewan Male U18 AAA Hockey League team to go winless in exhibition action, however, Keleher said he doesn't want his squad thinking of that heading into the matchup.

"Going into that building on a Friday night and we expect a pretty full house and a bit of a ruckus crowd," he said. "They're going to come out firing on all cylinders right off the bat and we've gotta weather that storm the first few minutes of the game and get our legs under us."

Swift Current will be on the road this morning for the five-hour trek northeast with puck drop scheduled for 7:30 p.m. tonight.

They'll have a quick turnaround tomorrow afternoon, as they head to Prince Albert to take on the Mintos for 1:30 p.m.
