Dorie's House has been selected as the recipient of the proceeds from this year's annual holiday giveaway being put on by Kaitlin Fehr owner of local business Allure Esthetics.

Fehr provides details on the giveaway.

"It's a community based draw system that collects donations from the general public for local non-profits and we help to promote local businesses and entrepreneurs and we also give our general population here in Swift Current a chance to win some really awsome prizes."

Fehr started the giveaway last year with the proceeds being donated to The Center. In response to why the proceeds will be going towards Dorie's House this year, Fehr said the following.

"I chose to support Dorie's House this year because of their mission to help our youth and our kids here in Swift Current. With the current times and more apparent battles that all of our kids are facing or are subjected to, ours need a program like this here in town. They have recently re-opened their doors and I figured that there is no better time to help them out then the holiday season."

Donations being collected this year include clothing, household supplies and Christmas gifts for ages 12 to 18. 

Local businesses can choose to sponsor prizes by contacting Fehr at 306-750-0042 by November 5th or by email at wienskaitlin@gmail.com . Community members wishing to donate items for a chance to gain entries to win these prizes can also contact Fehr up until December 23rd.
