The Swift Current branch of the Canadian Mental Health Association recently launched their new donor program entitled Cash for Construction.

Executive Director Todd Vallee provided details on the program.

"We have opportunities at four different investment levels. It can be a lot of money for some folks, for other people maybe they are enjoying some better times and they can be involved at a higher level. You can be recognized with a donation of $500.00 and up."

Vallee added that $500 and up will have the donor at the Friends of the CMHA level, the Supporters level is $5000 and up, the Advocate level is $10,000 and up and the Benefactor's Circle is for donations of $25,000 or more.

Vallee also announced a recent business donation.

"Mercator Financial in town has come on and will be recognized in our Benefactor's Circle with a massive donation of $25,000. So we are forever grateful to the folks at Mercator Financial and we are really excited that they have come on board to help with some of the extra costs.

He added that they have secured the money for the building and it will get built and the money they continue to raise is being used for additional elements within the building that did not factor into the old building such as new spaces that need to be furnished.

Work will continue on the new building throughout the winter and Vallee said that they will probably start moving things in late spring or early summer with the hopes of hosting programming in the new building by next fall.
