The Swift Current Creek is the star of the latest exhibit being showcased at the Swift Current Museum.

Education and Public Programs Coordinator for the museum Stephanie Kaduc details the creeks importance to the city.

"It was the reason that Swift Current was originally founded because there was water for the steam engines that came through and it continues to be an important location for recreation throughout the city."

The exhibit will focus on a variety of aspects as Kaduc explains.

"The exhibition includes things that people did along the creek, businesses and activities and then also some of the creatures that live and depend on the creek."

Kaduc encourages everyone to come down to see what she says is an interesting exhibit filled with some surprises and things that people probably were not aware of.

The Creek exhibiton is on display at the museum until September 5th.
