Norwalk Virus Update

Closures are still in effect.

Last week we heard that the Prairie Pioneer’s Lodge, as well as the Palliser Care Centre in Swift Current were closed due to an outbreak of the Norwalk Virus.

Trent Regier with the Cypress Health Region says the closures will remain in place for the time being.

The Long Term Care Facility in Shaunavon is also restricting visitors at this time due to an outbreak.

Regier adds that proper hand washing is crucial when it comes to preventing future outbreaks.
