As a staple female in the local business community, outgoing manager of Pharmasave Jahnaya Mann, wants to assure the community that although she has left her managerial role she will continue to be present both in the store and the community.

Back in October, Mann accepted and was promoted to the new position of company-wide pharmacy director responsible for 102 stores in Western Canada, as she explains.

"Even though I was promoted to this other role and will work to support all those community-operated drug stores, which by the way 65 of them are in Saskatchewan and we do span all the way from Manitoba to Vancouver Island. I just wanted the residents to know, don't worry your in really great hands."

Tenille Gering has returned back to Swift Current and has taken over Mann's managerial role. Mann stresses that their focus on customer service at Pharmasave will remain second to none.

Mann, however, is still working at the local Pharmasave as a pharmacist as she explains.

"I am in and out of the store non-stop. I'm still working here as a pharmacist. So, my customers who are used to seeing me will continue to be able to see me here at the store. And I just think it has been an absolute pleasure to serve and care for the residents of south west Saskatchewan and to get to know them better over the last two decades."

Mann says that over the past few years the role of the pharmacist has changed drastically as they have become more like front-line health care professionals. So not just drug experts but also able to assess and prescribe for a lot of urgent healthcare needs for patients.

As mentioned, Mann will continue to work at the local Pharmasave as a pharmacist and is usually at work on Wednesdays. Even though she will miss seeing people every day she wants the community to know she is still here and looking forward to still seeing people and staying in touch and says people are welcome to reach out for advice if needed.

Mann says she thanks the community for trusting in her and supporting her over the last number of years and says it has been a pleasure and honor to be their pharmacist.

She looks forward to remaining engaged in the community and the store.
