Wednesday October 5th there will be a PARTY Program hosted in Shaunavon for Grade ten and eleven students.

Sponsored by the School Community Council, the Cypress Health Region Acquired Brain Injury Coordinator and local participants including Paramedics, RCMP, Therapists, Emergency Room Nurses, Addiction Councillors and Binkley's Funeral Home, this event provides realty education to students.

Connie Allemand is the Principal at the Shaunavon High School. She says, "The PARTY Program stands for Prevent Alcohol and Risk-Related Trauma in Youth, and the Program is a full day of reality education teaching students about making smart choices and taking safe risks. PARTY is designed to expose students to tragic consequences of risk-taking behaviors."

A Mock Crash will be held in the Crescent Point Wickenheiser Center in Shaunavon tomorrow from 9:25 to 10:10 a.m. with an afternoon to follow featuring injury survivor presentations.

The public is welcome.
