Canadians will come together to remember those who fought, and continue to fight to protect our freedom this Sunday, Remembrance Day. This year it will have a special significance as November 11, 2018 marks the 100th anniversary of the Armistice that ended World War I.

In Swift Current, Remembrance Day ceremonies will take place at the Cenotaph in Memorial Park on Sunday at 9:00am, which starts with a parade from the Royal Canadian Legion Hall at 8:45am. That is followed by another ceremony at the Swift Current Comprehensive High School Cafetorium beginning at 10:45am, and the day wraps up with a special fundraising event at the Legion Hall.

Andy Keys with the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #56 joined Colin on the Magic Morning Show Thursday.

Tickets for the fundraiser are available in advance at Pharmasave, the Legion Office, or by calling Andy at 306-774-8535.
