The Saskatchewan Health Authority is reporting 33 new COVID-19 cases in the province in today's update.

The break down of the cases has one in the Far North West, three in North West, five in North Central, four in North East, four in Saskatoon, three in Central East, nine in Regina, and four in South East.

This brings the provincial total number of cases to 2,591, with 511 of the cases considered active.

In the southwest region, there are two active cases.

There were 31 more recoveries reported, bringing the provincial total to 2,055.

Twenty people are in the hospital - 16 receiving inpatient care (nine in Saskatoon, one in Regina, one in North West, and five in the North Central zone).  Four people are in intensive care - three in Saskatoon and one in Regina.

The total number of COVID deaths remains at 25.

To date, there have been 242,500 COVID-19 tests done in the province.

Yesterday, 2,297 COVID-19 tests were performed in Saskatchewan.
