The Saskatchewan Music Awards will be handed out this coming Sunday, and there are three nominees from the southwest.

Swift Current's Eliza Doyle and The Moonrunners are both nominated for awards. The Moonrunners in the Metal/Loud Artist Category, and Eliza Doyle in the Industry Achievement Award Category.

The Hunter Brothers from Shaunavon are also nominated in both the Country Artist of the Year Category and in The Single of the Year category for their song "Hard Dirt".

JJ Hunter says he and his brothers are very humbled by the nominations. "We're always honoured when we get nominated for any sort of award, and it's never expected. It's not why we do the music, but it is always an honour and when you see the other artists that are up for the awards and being included in those groups is a real pleasure for us. And we're very thankful."

The Saskatchewan Music Awards will be live-streamed on SaskMusic's social media pages this Sunday.
