A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect for the following areas;

  •  Waldeck, Rush Lake and Main Centre
  •  Glen Bain
  •  Blumenhof
  •  Kyle, Tyner and Sanctuary
  •  Hodgeville
  •  Herbert, Morse, Ernfold and Gouldtown
  •  Cabri, Pennant and Success
  •  Saskatchewan Landing including Stewart Valley
  •  Swift Current and Wymark
  •  Beechy
  •  Webb and Antelope lake
  •  Vanguard, Neville and Pambrun

Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain.

A low pressure trough over southwestern Saskatchewan is moving slowly eastward this evening. Thunderstorms continue to develop along the trough and could become severe with large hail and damaging wind gusts the main threat.

The system should pass out of the Southwest between 7:00 and 9:00 pm tonight.
