In the February 28 COVID-19 update from The Saskatchewan Health Authority, they are reporting a total of 141 new cases of the virus in the province.

Of those 141 new cases, there are 16 in the North West, one in Far North Central, 14 in Far North East, 17 in North West, 13 in North Central, three in North East, 38 in Saskatoon, two in Central West, eight in Central East, 19 in Regina, eight in South Central, and one in South East zones.

One of the cases have pending residence information.

Three previous cases with pending residence information were assigned to the following: one in the North West, one in North Central, and one in Regina zones.

That brings the provincial total number of COVID-19 cases to 28,647, of which 1,543 are considered active.

There are currently five active cases in the South West zone.

The seven-day average of daily new cases is 146 (11.9 new cases per 100,000 population).

There have been 146 new recoveries, bringing that provincial total to 26,719.

There were no deaths reported in the province related to COVID-19, keeping the count at 385.

There are 154 people in the hospital. One hundred and thirty-five people receiving inpatient care: four in the Far North West zone, two in the Far North East zone, 12 in the North West zone, 14 in the North Central zone, one in the North East zone, 50 in the Saskatoon zone, seven in the Central East zone, one in the Central West zone, and 37 in the Regina zone.

There are currently three people receiving inpatient care in the South Central zone, and four in the South East zone.

There are 19 people in intensive care - one in the North West zone, 11 in the Saskatoon zone, and seven in the Regina zone.

To date, there have been 576,325 COVID-19 tests processed in Saskatchewan.

And yesterday there were 2,285 COVID-19 tests processed.

There were 1,662 COVID-19 vaccine doses administered yesterday in Saskatchewan, bringing the total number of vaccines administered in the province to 75,501.

The doses were administered in the following zones: 218 in Far North East, 22 in Far North Central, 24 in Regina, 214 in North Central, 314 in North West, 102 in Central West, 112 in Central East, and 656 in South East zones.  

Data has been updated to include an additional 936 doses administered in the South East zone, 49 in Central West zone, and 78 in Central East zone on February 26.
