The Swift Current Little Theatre's spring production is just around the corner and it's sure to be a comedic delight.

Written by Sam and Jeanne Bobrick, Weekend Comedy is a story of two couples from different generations who are accidentally booked to stay in the same cabin for a weekend.

Co-director of the play, Cara Diamond, said the actors and crew are getting excited to make the community laugh.

"So far it's going really well; we've got some fantastic work happening on the stage," she said. "All actors are off book. It's very exciting. We're getting very close and it's coming together really well."

There will be one regular show on April 11 for $15 per ticket, and four pub nights on the 5, 6, 12, and 13 at $30 per ticket, which can be purchased at Pharmasave.

Great Plains College doors open at 7 p.m. for the regular showing, while they open half an hour earlier on pub nights.

For belly laughs and local entertainment, mark the calendar for one of the five shows coming to Swift Current next month.
