Rev up the hotrods and pull the tarps off your lowriders, Taillight Tuesday is geared up for a return on May the 7th.

The weekly free-to-enter, free-to-walk-around car show will once again be dominating the northwest corner of the Living Sky Casino Parking lot this year. The host Rogue Cruisers car club is excited to enter its second year, after exploding onto the southwest car seen 12 months ago.

Dustin Vipond, one of the co-founding members of the group, has plans to ensure everything that folks loved last year, be that the atmosphere or the open-door policy, stays the same.

"I think if it isn't broke, don't fix it," said Vipond. "We definitely learned some little adjustments, but overall it will be much the same, with maybe a little bit of signage and some special stuff happening within the casino."

To kick start this car show season, the Rogue Cruisers are planning to have Swift Current Drag Racing Association technicians present to do tech inspections at the first and second shows of the season. Anyone looking to get their rig certified for race day can bring it through, and they will be happy to give you a thumbs up or down.

To be clean and clear, you do not have to plan to race your car to bring it out to this show. Any vehicle is welcome, whether it's rusted to dust or clad in chrome.

"There is nothing necessary [to enter]," said Vipond. "Just show up, have fun. As always, all of our events are free and we have no age requirements for the vehicle. Basically, if you love it, bring it on out."

Same as last year, the Rogue Cruisers plan to partner with a local non-profit each month of Taillight Tuesdays this year. For May, Swift Current Ride for Dad will be on hand, accepting donations that will go on to support research into prostate cancer.

Last year, the Rogue Cruisers had groups like the Swift Current SPCA and Silver Wings Access Van inc. present at many of their shows. This year, they hope to see as many or more groups joining in on the weeknight fun. "We're hoping to have a whole bunch of bikes out," said Vipond. "We're gonna try and leave a little bit of room for them, and I think it'll be a really, really great addition to [the show]."

If you have a Harley, an Indian, a Victory, a Ducati, or even a Moped, you are welcome to come line it up with Ride for Dad to show support.

If anyone would like to see about partnering with the Rogue Cruisers through their non-profit operation, they are open to any and all ideas. Simply send an email with your organization's details to roguecruisers@gmail.com.

The Living Sky Casino will once again have the doors open for anyone looking to get inside. They hand out vouchers to anyone in attendance and are always eager to have people dine in, play games, or just experience the atmosphere of the game floor.

"The Casino has been behind us from the very point of conception," said Vipond. "They've been just instrumental in the growth and the success that we've seen. It's quite amazing, to see there's been a real resurgence to local car shows. It's really neat to see the interest in the car hobby again and seeing all the old iron come out of the woodwork. So I'm excited about this season. I think it's going to be incredible."
